Jan 21, 2008 · The 835 really is an excellent shotgun for the $$$. I had a Remington 870 deer gun. It was very nice. I'd buy another one if I got a good deal on one. I sold it and got the Mossberg. A couple things I do like about the 835 is the safety location and the action release.
