Subaru outback driver window reset
Going back the garage, I turn the push-button start to ON (rather than ACC), and used the passenger side window button to run the window all the way up, all the way back down, and then up again. Now the window operated normally from both the passenger's side button and the driver's side button. Mission accomplished. I chalked it up to a fluke.Sometimes, not always, while parked I try and roll up the driver's window. It goes up and then comes back down halfway and stops, even if I keep holding the switch, engine running or not, in drive/reverse or not. Also sometimes, when locking the car (with window down) the window automatically goes up (okay), but then comes halfway down.

When I try to close the passenger side window by lifting the power switch, it goes all the way up then bounces back to halfway shut (or open - take your pick). It won't move up again until I move it down after which i can incrementally move it up until it closes.There's a window reset procedure that might fix this - maybe caused by the battery disconnect. I believe it's in the owner's manual, but I have a bookmark with the procedure. I'm guessing you can do it on your passenger side, too.Auto up/down on windows won't work, and from the driver's control can't control the other windows... all 4 windows on yours are auto up/down.... at each door, roll the window about halfway down, then roll them back up, holding for one second after it closes. Right now they probably aren't able to be opened from the driver's door.It's also very simple, so it's possible it's the same in 2017.
